I found this source through the Gale Virtual Library. This article is about the Harlem Renaissance, in which my topic surrounds. It's a timeline that attracted me because it was clear and concise. I got the information I needed for background information but I do not see the need to use it anywhere else. I would still recommend this database.

This source was very detailed while nit picking through I found delightful information that was uncommon to the typical articles. This source was about Josephine Baker and her life story. I thought it best to only use certain details that would shape her as a figure instead of too many personal turmoils. I found this source on the Proquest database. I would recommend it to others because it was refreshingly unique.

This source provides me with a timeline of Josephine Bakers life with included historical perspective. This is a credible source that I found off of the Proquest data base. I was pleased with the information given and would recommend this source and data base for exceptional general information.

It's all about the musical, Harlem, and how it impacted society in ways nothing had before. I really liked this source because it gave me information that is there but hard to find. I will definitely use notes from this for my whole project. I know this is credible because it was written by a Professor from NYU who specializes in Drama, Theater, and Dance. I would definitely recommend this source to others.

I found this source through the Gale Virtual library. This document was about the Crash of '29, the great depression, and what led up to it. My topic touches on this time period so as far as background information this source was helpful. It was most beneficial while analyzing my research as a whole. I would recommend this source to others, if was very detailed and I feel as though I got a lot of information out of it.

Josephine Baker, by Alan Schroeder; introduction by Coretta Scott King. New York: . . Chelsea House, 1991. I found this book from my own research. It had almost everything I needed to know about my topic, so it was very helpful. I know it's a credible source because it has been used as a source by Vogue and many professors. I would recommend this book for this topic because the information I gathered from it is very beneficial. "Sissle & Blake's Shuffle Along." New World Records.
