Standard: Learning Objective: What should students know or be able to do by the end of the lesson? Objectives
should be observable and measurable
Alignment with Standards: Identify the source and list standards that are addressed in the lesson. Developmental Appropriateness: Explain why your learning objectives are appropriate in terms of prior knowledge, skills, and/or other student needs. Assessment(s) of the Objectives:
What assessment(s) will you use to determine student learning (pre, during, post)?
Accommodations: How will you accommodate for varying rates of learning (early finishers/slower
paced learners), learning styles, and any relevant diversity issues? What accommodations will be made for students with special needs?
Materials: List all materials needed to implement your lesson; e.g., pencils, notebook, selected
reading(s), video, PowerPoint, etc. Use of Technology: Describe how your use technology in your instruction.
Procedures: Motivation, grouping, instructional Strategies (steps in the lesson) to include questioning
techniques and lesson closure. Include NCTM Process Standards in parentheses (NCTM 3)
References: Cite all references for materials/resources used in preparing the lesson. Citations should
be in APA, 6th edition format.
Activity Analysis: Describe at least one lesson activity using the following prompts: (1) how the
instructional strategy supports the lesson objective(s), (2) how the activity stems from student characteristics, needs, and/or contextual factors, and (3) what materials/technology you will use to implement the activity.
