Regional Maternal and Child Health Advisor USAID East Africa
Dr. Grace Miheso is the Regional Maternal and Child Health Advisor at USAID East Africa. She provides technical support to USAID missions and inter-governmental organizations in the Eastern African region in the area of child survival, newborn and maternal health. She previously worked with UNICEF Kenya for 8 years where she supported maternal, child health and malaria programs. Dr. Miheso has over 15 years of programmatic experience in public health working at policy, national and field levels; in health sector reforms and development, as well as humanitarian response to address the needs of vulnerable mothers and children. She has a first degree in Dentistry and a Masters degree in Public Health. She is presently pursuing a PhD on newborn survival.
