Similarities: 1) Due to family related deaths, both characters become the dominant figure in the family. 2) Helen and Nathan were forced to adapt with the aftermath of discrimination. 3) Both characters did not have a voice or any power. 4) Robinson and Radley were both put into situations from the actions of others.
Differences: 1) Helen is an African-American Woman. Nathan is a white male. 2) Robinson had children to support and provide for, while Radley only had Boo to care for. 3) Helen is much poorer that Nathan. She is also in a lower social class due to her race.
