2.) Prediction What do you think you will find? (4-7+ sentences Stretch your thinking; Be specific; Draw connections from past history and current events) I think that I will find that Israel is in a time of concern and distress. I believe this because Every Sunday I have to go to Hebrew school and they always talk about how Israel. This reminds me of when Israel was at war with the philistines because it feels like that never stopped. I wan to find out why Israel is always in a conflict with other countries or themselves. 3.) References CNN -- http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/meast/archive/index.html BBC -- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world/middle_east/ A.) Identify what country each site is from (Check site links) B.) How might each countrys perspective influence how they report the news? C.) Explain how this site is or is not a credible source A.) CNN is from America B.) Americas perspective on Israel might influence their article because we have a close relationship with Israel and a lot of our population is Jewish. So it might influence some reporters to support Israel instead of telling what is really going on. Also you never know how the people writing the article might feel about the situation, so that may determine what information the article include. C.) CNN is a credible source because it includes all of the information that you need like date modified and the author. Also it shows the exact date when an article was added, so you can see how daily it is updated. Another thing is that credible is that all the tabs on the top make it easier to find the information you are looking for. A) BBC is from London B) Since BBC is closer to Israel they must know a lot more about the situation than others. Also, they might have seen the action, and be mad at the people who are fighting disturbing their peace. I think that BCC is going to be against the war because they are closer and have to worry about it more.

6.) Analysis (5-8 sentences Follow PEEER Overview model) Write a PEEER paragraph that answers the Inquiry Question What is the current state of affairs in Israel? For your Evidence statement use one of your Direct Quotes Color-code your paragraph -Right now in Israel it is a time of hardship and difficulty. Within the past month or so, there have been many deaths and bombings throughout the middle east. This shows the fact that although their conflict started many years ago it still has not been fully resolved. For example "We have to be sneaky, we have to be undercover," said "Ahmed," shows that the people in Israel are having to hide and go under cover. Furthermore, everyone who lives in Israel is going to be effected by the war and will have to go under cover too. The recent events in Israel show that their situation is much like the old times, and remains to be a time of turmoil.
