In order to make sure that each story will be published to the best of your ability, today, everyone will be an editor. We will read, edit, and comment on other students writing and give them feedback about what they can improve, what was done well, and what could be changed to make this story a best-seller!

1. Read the story and write a quick summary of what happens. (this will help serve as a reference to you later as you make more specific edits)

What is the most exciting part of the story and why? What about it makes it interesting?

What is the least interesting part, and how could your partner make it more interesting?

Does the story make sense? If not, what parts of the story were confusing to you?

Does the story have a conclusion; if so how does it end, and is it effective?

Are all first words of sentences capitalized? If not, mark letters that should be capitalized on the papers.

Is the dialogue properly formatted? Make necessary changes to formatting on your partners papers.

Do all sentences end with either a period, exclamation mark, or a question mark?
