Lewis

C.S. Lewis is a widely known and loved author of many childrens and adults books. He was also an important teach at Magdalen College, Oxford. He is an inspiration for writers around the world. C.S. Lewis (Clive Staples Lewis) was born on the 29th of November 1898. He was the second and last child of Albert James and Florence Augusta Lewis. Warren Hamilton Lewis was their first son. Clive and Warren were good friends growing up, and were constantly playing games and making up worlds with each other. They grew up in a house full of books in Ireland. Because of this, Clive always loved books. He said that finding a good new book was like Walking into a field and finding a new blade of grass. His mum died in 1908, a year before he was sent to England for education. He severely disliked Wynyard, and (to his joy) the school closed in 1910 due to the lack of pupils. He went back to Ireland where he thought he would stay. Unfortunately for Clive, he was sent back to England only a year later. The second time he went to England however, he thoroughly enjoyed it. He attended Campbell College and stayed there, only leaving for a few years to fight in World War 1. After the war went back and continued his studies. C.S. Lewis graduated from Campbell College with a first class honours in Greek, Latin and English Literature, as well as Philosophy and Ancient History. He continued His Studies at Cambridge and Later On in 1954 he won the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge. Later he started teaching at Magdalen College, Oxford. He continued teaching there whilst writing until he died of respiratory problems at the age of 64. In conclusion, I think that C.S. Lewis was a great man whose dreams take us to the wildest places in books and stories.
