How I've Prepared For The CST


I have studied. Using flash cards is effective. Study for at least 30 mins. I have paid more attention in class. Try to concentrate as much as possible.

HOW MY TEACHERS PREPARED ME FOR THE CST


We have to review everything we learned this year. Get a good nights sleep the night before. Have a well balance meal the morning of. Stay focused. Study!!!

TEST TAKING TIPS: THE NIGHT BEFORE


Go to sleep early. Study what you have trouble with. Have healthy snacks.

TEST TAKING TIPS: DURING THE TEST


Eliminate bad answers. Read answers first. Skip and come back to questions you dont know the answer to. Read ALL answers.

Math Tips
Try Your Best In Every Problem. Cross Out Every Ridiculous Answer And Work Out The Ones That Are Left. Dont Guess Only If You Have To. Always Check Your Answers. Show Your Work On Another Piece Of Paper.

English Tips
Read Answers First. Concentrate On Story Carefully. Read Story Twice If You Have To. Eliminate Bad Answers. Read Questions Twice.

Solving Word Problems


Find key that will help you solve it. Set up work that is needed only. Do work carefully. Put your answer in a sentence to make sure it makes sense. Double check your answer.

About Word Problems


Word Problems Are tricky So Concentrate. Check Your Answers. Read The Question Twice. Eliminate bad answers. Do work on another piece of paper.

Example
Nicole Has a Square Garden. She needs to fence it because rabbits keep taking her Carrots. If one side is 35 ft. long, how much fence will she need? If it is a square, all sides are the same length. So, You multiply the length by 4. 35x4= 140.

Writing Essays
Have a good idea or topic. Be creative. Use figurative language. Edit your draft. Copy corrections on a new draft.
