Required homework for every class To improve student learning, the school board is proposing required daily homework for every class. Take a position on this proposal. In a multiple-paragraph letter, persuade the school board to support your position. Dear School Board, I think it should not be necessary to have mandatory homework. The teachers should not give out homework every day because kids are going to have way too much work and they would stay up most of the night working. After kids get done its late and they wont get much sleep, so the next day the poor kid cant pay attention that well in class and he gets piled on with more homework. Imagine having six classes and 30 minutes worth of homework every day. Thats a waste of 15 hours a week and 3 hours a day. I get home at 4:30 or later, so I would finish around 7:30-8:00. Thats with just working on the work the whole time. So ask yourself, Do I really want to put these kids through so much work? Its a bad idea to have mandatory homework, so please dont put kids though such trauma.
