What is Accessibility?
For Cisco Networking Academy, accessibility means providing access to our curricula for people with disabilities Address the needs of students with visual, physical, cognitive, and auditory limitations, such as:
Visual blind, low vision, color blindness Hearing and speech deaf, hard of hearing, mute Physical mobility and dexterity impairment

The accessible CCNA curricula conform with exceptions to U.S. and international guidelines including:
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (U.S.) Americans with Disabilities Act (U.S.) W3C- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (Global)
* Most countries have employment, design and manufacture, and procurement laws similar to ADA and Section 508 - we highlighted these laws as they are the most typical and stringent

All CCNA Discovery and CCNA Exploration courses are available in accessible format
The course text, lab text, assessments, and hands-on labs are all available in accessible format Text descriptions are available for all media items embedded in the curricula

Cisco Packet Tracer application and activities are available in limited accessible format
Packet Tracer v5.2 has added keyboard shortcuts to aid navigation Keyboard shortcuts documentation available on the Accessibility page on Academy Connection

Delivery of Accessible CCNA Curricula


Users must select Accessible in their Academy Connection profile to view assessments in accessible format
Also sets online curricula view to accessible format by default

The accessible CCNA curricula are available on the Course Materials page
Viewable online from the existing launch page users can select either the standard (default) or the accessible version of the course

Instructor materials in accessible format are available on the Tools Page for each course
Interactive Course Guide link to accessible HTML version Instructor Reference Guide and PPT (accessible PDFs)
