I made Vise I at “Teresita de Lisieux School” in Valparaiso.

This School is located

in the El Litre’s Hill. It is a religious School, they wore uniforms and they celebrated
masses on important dates.

The personal of this School was very friendly but they separated me from the
teachers because they told me that actually I was not one of them. For example it was
impossible to me to be on the teachers’ room. That was one thing that makes me feel like a
stranger in this place. When I had to be in the classrooms, I had to be sitting in the last part
of it with the students as one of them.

One day, the English teacher was absent, so the principal asked me to be with the
class alone and if I could make them a Musical class. I did not know why I had to make that
but I could not say no. Therefore, I was “taking care” of the Six Grade class, fortunately at
the begins everything goes well but when an absent boy arrived he started fighting with
another boy, I did not know what to do, they were hitting each other and the ladies of the
group were crying so I tried to stop them by myself but it was impossible. I received a lot of
hits so I sent one student to look for somebody but no one arrives. They stop their fight
when they were tired and them was when I could sent them with the principal.

I was really scared with this situation because I did not know what to do. Will I
learn during the next years of University how to react to this kind of situations? I believe
that maybe one of the curses will teach us some techniques for controlling classes, but, why
that happened to me? I know that I was not available to do that but when you are in a
school where you do not know people you must be the most kindly person in the world and
you must do everything that they need. And the most important question that I made myself
was if it is really necessary Vise I? Sometimes I believed that it is, because you can see the
real world of schools in second year, but sometimes I also believed that it is not, because
you only disturb there.
