Development of MATLAB features in Cloud Platform for Bio-medical image processing

ABSTRACT
The advanced application in Bio-medical image processing is developed, in order to enrich and enhance the useful information in different Bio-medical images. The processing and analysis of bio-medical images is progressively encouraging the research work in the field of image processing. In order to meet the challenges in processing and analyzing the Bio-medical images, we have made an effort to show the difference between pre and post images through Quantitative method, based on MATLAB. Further to achieve this goal, the application is installed in cloud server (SaaS). KEYWORDS: Bio-medical images, Quantitative method, MATLAB, SaaS. TOOLS: MATLAB, Cloud Tools LANGUAGES: MATLAB

INTRODUCTION
Bio-medical Image processing is one of the most essential components in medical field. It has significant role in laboratory research and clinical practice. There are two main reasons for processing of medical images. First of all, the image processing should increase the likelihood that a physician will make the correct diagnosis from the image. Second one is that, the result should increase the efficiency and lower the cost of the process of the diagnosis. The main objective of enhancement is to process a bio-medical image so that the result is more suitable than the original image for specific analysis. Segmentation of images is one of the major problems in bio-medical image processing. Because of the complexity and variability of anatomical structures, segmentation algorithms generally must be tuned for each particular case. The use of different segmentation techniques also requires some methods to evaluate the techniques and compare various segmentation methods. This can be achieved by performing a quantitative comparison among different segmentation algorithms.

OBJECTIVE
The objective of our application is to apply focus on processing and analyzing the affected part of the Bio-medical images. We are making an effort to compute the quantitative difference between pre and post Bio-medical images. This can be achieved by quantitative comparison in MATLAB. The designed application is made available to the clients in the cloud network called as Software as a Service (SaaS).

METHODOLOGY Our approach to the application is through following steps:1. Collect the image from the client through a user interface. 2. Process the image and apply spatial modeling. 3. Compare pre and post images.

SCOPE
The scope of current project is that radiologists can easily diagnose the Bio-medical images without being aware of how to use the MATLAB to process the image. The use of cloud computing architecture benefits the clients to access the application across the globe.
