CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.7.2 Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing. Procedure: 1. Students will put the finishing touches on their narratives. This will include.

a. Turning in their final written narrative by posting it on the blog. b. Including at least three different pictures that relate to the place they are visiting, what they are taking, and a picture of their choice that is relevant to the assignment. c. Turning in a hard copy. 2. The Teacher will ask for volunteers to share their narrative. (Maybe extra credit could be given to those who do present), 3. Depending on how much longer students need to finish their narratives and how many students want to volunteer will determine whether or not there is time for this final activity. a. Students will work in groups of 2-3. There will be given a list of countries. This list will include the countries mentioned in the short stories. They will work together on finding one picture of a famous landmark and one interesting fact. They will be required to cite their source of information. They will also have to defend why they chose that fact as the most interesting. Assessment: 1. Students final papers of their narratives will not only demonstrate their understanding of what a narrative is but will also demonstrate their command of standard English. Should the narratives need revising the teacher could engage in re-teaching and even more rewriting. This would further emphasize that writing is a process.
