When the paper was returned the comment was all too familiar. " creat ideas in paper!You do need

have been completely unreadable and I got a zero so why is this particular rules of writing exactly what I need to abide by? Things like not starting your sentence with but or because but if that makes your point more clearer shouldn't that be more important then styling issues? ln any case, to frx this problem you read your paper out loud and that picks out the poorly

worded sentences wellthat somehow sound fine in your head. There have been some transbrmations this year that were neither things I was taught from the beginning of my writing career or things I rules that I have just made myself. The
biggest one was hearing that using '1" in your paper should be something you should steer clear from. Originally, I wouH say I becausefrd'iG" saying it why would that be bad for me to say I said it?None of my past teachers ever rally reprimanded for Oeither suggesH

u because since you are writing it, it is implied that it is " | ". lt all made sense, By using " I all

this time I was being repetitive which is something you should take out of a paper to be as

said . more specific and detailed'. Of course this is a hard habit to break so making this one
of the harder papers for me this year. As a side note, in a personal essay it is ok to use " | "

just so I dont seem hypocritical about this last paragraph where using " | " was in this paper. lt

just needs to be limited as much as possible.


Good writing has to have the 2 things mentioned above in the intro. Understanding and a focus on content. These 2 things go hand and hand. So when I read something like
