9 and 0 are considered very important in Hindu my theology. 0 is called sunyam.

Though it is termed as nothing, it means the origin for every thing. Likewise nine includes all numbers except 0 One is beginning the other is ending. Nine is greatest integer. Any number when raised to 9 is enormous. In Vedas, it is propounded that sunyam samyamuchyate and poorana apooranabyaam When 9 is added to any number, and the sum of digits of the number is same as the sum of Digits of the original number. i.e 15 + 9 = 24; here 15=6 and 24=6 When a number is multiplied by 9, the total of digits of the product is always 9. i.e. 241 x 9=2169; 2+1+6+9=18=9; 1234x9=11106=9
