Regulatory Framework
T he Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) is responsible for implementation of national programmes and sponsored schemes and technical assistance

Policy Formulation, Statistics, Planning, Autonomous Bodies and Subordinate Offices S upply of Contraceptives; International Assistance for Family Welfare and Urban Health Services A dministration and Finance for the Departments of Health, Family Welfare Department of AYUSH U pgrade the educational standards in the Indian Systems of Medicines and Homoeopathy colleges in the country S trengthen existing research institutions and ensure a time-bound research programme on identified diseases for which these systems have an effective treatment D raw up schemes for promotion, cultivation and regeneration of medicinal plants used in these systems E volve Pharmacopoeial standards for Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy drugs
