Objective: Students will be able to retell the historical events that have happened in the past to make Veterans Day a holiday; as a class the students will make a timeline of events that have occurred. Assessment: Informal assessment will be based on the accuracy of the students ability to retell events in order as they appeared in the book. Correctness of the timeline that the students create will also be assessed.

Management Issues/Transitions: Students will be seated on the rug which is near the chalk board, I will be the only one to move from my chair to the chalk board. After the lesson is over and the timeline is created, students will return to their seats based off of which season they were born in.
If you were born in the winter you may return to your desk. If you were born in the summer you may return to your desk. If you were born in the fall you may return to your desk. Lastly, if you were born in the spring you may return to your desk.

Differentiation: since this is a class activity there wont need to be any differentiation for assessment.
