Dead: 1. Martin Luther King Jr. 2. Bob Marley 3. Fredrick Douglas 4. Biggie Smalls 5. Tupac Alive: 1. Rihanna 2. Cornell West All of the people on my list are incredibly gifted in using their word to affect large groups of people. Bob Marley, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, and Rihanna are all artist who are or were extremely comfortable with their selves and did or do not let their fame affect their personality and actions. All of these artists are thought to be the best of their era. Tupac and Biggie were rival rappers. Tupac was known for criticizing the ways and habits of the world. Tupac very often rapped about the government, police and his mother who was once a drug addict. Rihanna is a current popular artist who has also been engaged in a lot of drama. What I respect most about her is her ability to remain true to herself despite what people say about her.

Pridgen 2 Martin Luther King Jr., Fredrick Douglas, and Cornell West are all courageous; sharing their opinions where they were not welcome. They all took a stand and were not worried about what society thought to be right but lived by and spoke on their personal morals. I would want to meet these three because I feel like I am a product of their hard work. I would want to have conversations with them about what action I can take to help our nation move forward, not be stagnating or retreating. All of these people are very intellectual and confident. I think that my list says that I am very creative and have a passion to invoke positive change. My list says that I believe in freedom of expression and the power there of. It also expresses that I cherish the English language and music while respecting the power of both. I feel that my list shows my ambition, my creativity, my interests in social interactions, my interest in the power of language, and my respect of all eras of history.
