Title of the project: QOS enabled RD technique for mobile grids Specific requirements: Hardware interface: Pentium 4 processor

ssor Minimum 1 Gb RAM 2 GB hard disk OS: windows xp

Software interface: GridSim 4.2 simulation toolkit Jdk 1.5

Using gridsim 4.2 version the code should be written. The resources as well as the users are mobile in nature. The resources created should be mobile resources like black berry, android etc and should have all characteristics related to them like its name, id, os, ram size, battery lifetime, version, vendor, date, compatibility(as some converters, convert only 3 pages). And a qos parameter that it best supports. These data should be maintained in a file based configuration that should be called at the time of execution. User details should also be maintained in a file containing its name, id, access (fulltime or limited) query along with a qos a parameter. The user sends his query in such a format that it sould reach the best resource which fulfills its request in less time and bandwidth. For example: the user has a word file in his mobile, but his mobile doesnt support, so he sends the file to resource which has word to pdf converter. Another example can be, user has an audio file which is of wave extension, as some mobiles doesnt support for .wave extension files, so he sends it to a resource which has an audio converter. In such a manner the users request is fulfilled. The resources which best support the query as well as the qos parameter those are ranked in ascending order. The qos parameters are variables that are set to the resource as well as to the user. Maintain these resources in 2-4 GISs so when the user sends its request to one GIS and when it cannot fulfill the users request, the gis should get the resource information from other GIS and make sure to fulfill it. In this project we are trying to control the bandwidth, latency and error rate. at the end the simulation should be shown in a graph.
