GHETTO WARNING: If you abuse this information there is a good chance that you can get banned from the search engines. DO NOT go out and try to build a ton of backlinks in one day. I only supply the knowledge if you choose to abuse it you take full responsibility. (My attorney told me to put some other clause here but I wanted to make sure it was crystal clear Ok Its on you!) NOTE: Before you start crying that you have been ripped off let me tell you that your list of a 100 directories that I promised is at the end. As always I under promise and over deliver. So make sure that you read every word, because this information is kick ass. Backlinks are one of the most important factors to SEO. Even if you screw up everything else and you get this aspect of things right you can crush your competitors in just about any niche market. Dont take my word for it - check this out. Go to http://www.Google.com and do a search for the word, click here (without the quotes of course). None of the results that came up are optimized for the keyword phrase, click here. They are all ranked because they have a shit load of backlinks pointing to them with the anchor text click here in it. Thats it There is no big secret! I have given you a hundred backlinks, this is a DAMN good start. This is the exact list that I give to my team to build my backlinks. Beyond 100 Backlinks Although a 100 backlinks is a good start, you need to keep pushing. The question is how do you nd backlinks? You are going to need to either be using the Safari browser or Firefox. Next your going to need the SEOQuake plugin (if you do not already have it shame on you). Download and install the plugin SEOQuake. Once you have it installed it should look like the image in Figure 1.

This little plugin allows you to see whats going on with any competitor at a glance. This is extremely valuable information to have when trying to nd high quality backlinks.

SEOQuake will allow you to determine the value of a page by showing you the Page Rank, Alexa Rank, etc You may also want to download SEO4FireFox (I highly recommend this one also). I use this program to immediately determine a pages PR and a few other factors that you can customize in the options section of the plugins menu. See Figure 2.

As you can see the SEO4FireFox plugin can gather such data as PR (which is the most important for me) and Alexa etc.. (which is also important). Ok, you now understand how to identify a good backlink. The next question is, how do we nd backlinks? You can use the free backlink nder tool: http://seogorillatactics.com/free-backlink-nder-tool/ Using The Free Backlink Finder Tool This is the easiest tool that you will ever use in your life. Simply enter the keyword and or the keyword phrase that you wish to target i.e. If you are targeting Internet Marketing enter something like, list building (without the quotes). Under the nd section choose your method of nding backlinks (I recommend starting at the top of the list). Next you will choose the domain extension you are looking to build backlinks from i.e. .com, .net, .edu etc.. Then click on the search button.

You will be taken to Google.com with the correct search string already entered (see gure 4). The results that you see are prime candidates for backlinks and trafc. DOFOLLOW and NOFOLLOW LINKS I am sure you are familiar with these tags or at the very least you have heard of them before. However I still wanted to touch on them because many people skip over good NOFOLLOW links because they deem that they have no value. Well Thats not 100% true. As far as search engine rankings, they are meaningless. However if you nd a site with a lot of trafc (a high Alexa ranking) it is worth adding your link there. Even if you only get 1 or 2 new visitors a day it will add up over time. Keep in mind that you are in this for the long haul. Heres a good example: I have a small niche market site that generates a few hundred dollars a month. The site is in a highly competitive niche and I do not have the time to babysit it all the time. Because of my neglect I often loose search engine rankings over time.

Because of the backlinking campaigns that I had launched early on, I was able to generate 47% of my sites trafc from referral links.

In the image to the left you will see a list of resources available to you. As you can see you should have no problems nding backlinks. Although it is time consuming the results are well worth it. This is a sure re way to crush your competitor and to move your keyword based page up in the search engine results. The free backlink tool nder also allows you to search by a wide variety of domain extensions. Lets say that you wanted to nd nothing but .edu sites. Just select it and do your search. Checkout the imagine below to see the wide variety of domain extensions that you have to choose from - its awesome!

NOTE: You do not always want to nd high page ranks. That will get your site agged (If you only target PR6 websites and you have zero PR1, PR2 etc. that will do more harm than good.) The goal is to show an organic growth in your links. If you have done your keyword research, and you are targeting the correct keyword phrases you will soon be ooded with trafc. If you are in a niche market more chances than not your competitors are slacking on their SEO. Go right now and do a search for one of your targeted keyword phrases and take a look at your competitors site. Then answer the following questions:

Is the site updated? How old is the site? Does the site look trustworthy? What is the quality of the content? What is the sites Alexa ranking? What is the sites PR?

Those are some of the questions you need to ask yourself. I assure you that you will be amazed at how many people are slacking.
