MAY
Our Week
Dear Parents, We are entering the last few weeks of school. Now is the time to think about how to continue to work on reading and math over the summer. Your child can continue to practice reading using the Superkids books that they have taken home over the year. There are also two internet programs to use over the summer. I am sending home a letter today detailing the Lexia Reading program. I am also enclosing cards for the Education City website. The cards have their password on it. The Saxon Math parent letters that have gone home this year have ideas on practicing math with your child at home. Let me know if you have any questions or need any other ideas. This week in Religion we will read Chapter 20; The Holy Spirit is Our Helper. We will read how Jada helps Emma, identify ways that the Holy Spirit helps us and make Holy Spirit streamers. In Math we will separate a whole by dividing it into two equal parts, identify halves and fourths, measure length using inches, compare temperatures during different seasons and solve subtraction problems. In Reading we will complete our Superkids Club End-of-Level test. This is a 13 part test and will take all week.

Some of the Kindergarteners still do not know how to tie shoes. This is a Kindergarten skill! Please work on this at home. Thank you for you assistance.
