Hard News Story 300 words Bonfire Night

Four teens were arrested for the possession of cannabis at a family bonfire night event last night at Beaconsfield Cricket Club. Police drug dogs were called to a firework display. The sniffer dogs caught four local teenagers with the Class B drug. All were arrested and the cannabis confiscated. The teenagers, three male and one female aged between eighteen and twenty were causing trouble. Their behaviour was described as intimidating and rowdy by various members of the public. The police, already at the event, had previously issued them with a warning. All four were with a group of twelve youths around the bonfire. A large amount of alcohol was consumed, bought from the fully licensed beer tent until they were prohibited from being served. However only the arrested were found in possession of drugs. Today, all of the teenagers were realised with a formal warning as they had no previous offences. People over the age of eighteen who are caught for the second time with the drug, are likely to receive a Penalty Notice Disorder, and issued with an on-the-spot fine of 80 which is logged on the Police National Computer. A member of the public, Rebecca Davies, said, The group were being loud and were intimidating others. They had been drinking a lot of alcohol which they had been buying until they would no longer be served and some of which they had brought in themselves. They were shouting out to people walking past. We had already spoken to the police as we were concerned because of the amount of children about with their families. Other than this incident the family event proved to be a success and no other arrests were made.
