One 4 X 6 index card of handwritten notes may be used for each exam. No substitute for the index card will be allowed. Cell phones and programmable calculators are NOT allowed when taking exams. 3. MAKE-UP EXAMS are discouraged. Summer semester moves quickly. It is the students responsibility to contact the instructor to arrange the make-up exam (the Instructional Testing Center is used for make-up exams and an appointment is necessary). Proof of emergency may be required. MAKE-UP EXAMS MUST BE TAKEN WITHIN THE ONE WEEK FOLLOWING THE TEST DATE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE LAST EXAM. The last exam must be taken by the end of the semester. For any exam not taken, the student will be given a "0" for that test. 4. NO retake exams will be given. 5. Homework assignments are completed in MyLab. Due dates, points, etc. are listed on the MyLab website. Exam questions are often modeled from homework assignments. 7. Attendance and participation are expected. Attendance is one of the most important factors for successfully completing this course. Please be ON TIME for class. Walking in late is a disruption for all other participants. Courtesy on this issue is required and appreciated. Thank you. CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE/RULES/RESOURCES The first line of this document stresses the importance of teamwork. This class is a team whose goal is to master ACC 122. There will be team work. This is a widely used practice in business today. The following rules will help us accomplish that goal: Please be considerate of fellow students. Cell phones and other electronic devices must be turned down during class and not used during class lectures. If cell phones become an issue or distraction, a stricter policy will be imposed. Laptops used for class activities and E-book access are an exception. Accounting can be frustrating. Immature, unprofessional outbursts will not be tolerated. Yes, this has happened before. It will not be tolerated
