SCHEDULE Brainstorm on topic, define major issues, list range of resources, and conclude with a rough outline. Submit works consulted with specific list of major issues, and notes on a narrowed topic. Discuss strategies of approaching topic. Submit outline and 3-4 pages of body of argument. Deadline for postponement of summer thesis to winter. *SUBMIT FIRST DRAFT 8 pages, and documentation with Turnitin. **Second draft due with Turnitin.

The first two dates are face to face meetings. The third meeting is expected to take place approximately one week following the submission of an outline and 3-4 pages of notes. A minimum of five subsequent meetings before the final submission of the project is expected to take place at the discretion of the advisor. *THE FIRST DRAFT SHOULD BE AT LEAST 8 PAGES (EXCLUDING DOCUMENTATION, DATA TABLES, AND GRAPHS) AND TWO COPIES MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH A COPY OF "TURNITIN". ONE COPY SUBMITTED TO THE ADVISOR, AND THE OTHER TO THE THESIS/EXHIBITION COORDINATOR. STUDENTS FAILING TO SUBMIT A FULL AND ACCEPTABLE DRAFT OF AN ARGUMENT PAPER OR SUITABLE PROGRESS ON NONTRADITIONAL PROJECT BY THIS DATE WILL INCUR A FULL GRADE (B+ TO C+) REDUCTION ON GRADE OF FINAL PRODUCT. **The second draft must include a copy of Turnitin. ***Students failing to submit the final paper by the proscribed deadline incur a further reduction in grade based on the degree of tardiness. THE THESIS COORDINATOR ALONE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO GRANT EXTENSIONS BASED ON APPROPRIATE CRITERIA.
