DOMA passed on September 21, 1996

The Defense of Marriage Act defines marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman for purposes of all federal laws, and provides that states need not recognize a marriage from another state if it is between persons of the same sex.

Thesis Argument
Same sex marriage should be allowed because everyone has the rights to choose how they want to use their unalienable rights and do what make them happy.

Supporting Information
The constitution of the United States guarantee

everyone the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What does happiness mean to you? For most American people, the pursuit of happiness is doing what they love, expressing what they love, and being with who they love. Love, Honor, Commitment three simple words. They are the words that gay and lesbian couples feel in their hearts when they make a commitment to each other.

Counter argument
Same sex marriage should not be allowed

because it will increase bullying in America and its a bad example on kids because it going to influence a younger generation to becoming gay.

According to statics bullying has increase

between gays and lesbian teens and about 30% of teens have committed suicide because of being bullied at school. They even missed school they feel unsafe because being gay, lesbian, or transgender by there classmate.

Studies have shown that when a child is raised with two mothers or two fathers that they will most likely engage in sexual activity early on, have drinking problems, use drugs, have suicide tendencies, stress, and have emotional issues.

Conclusion
People have the right to be happy no, it will out the human race because 1 person become gay doesnt mean the whole world will be come gay. If they are happy being gay they should have the right.
