SOLVING TECHNIQUES FOR MASYU I will be considering parts of big puzzles to explain these techniques. 1) Black dot in 2*2 corners If there is single black dot in a corner. The following images show how to draw the line for 3 positions at the corner in a 2*2 block. The 4th position is nothing but again similar to 2nd position (iii)

2) White dot in edges

3) Black dot on edges 4) 2 adjacent black dots 5) 2 adjacent black dots on edges 6) 4 adjacent black dots in middle 7) In a 3*3 corners and the black dot at corners

8) 2 black dots in 2*2 corners As you can see here, the two black dots in left most top corner. If this is the case then you can draw lines like shown in another figure.

This can be extended to many.For example if there are 3 black dots in the corners, And so on.
