Adjectives: Gender and Number Adjectives will agree in gender and number with the noun they modify. Adjectives are used in two ways and in two positions Attributive - comes after the noun it modifes and agrees in gender, number, and definiteness. Predicative - precedes the nounand agrees in gender and number, but never has the definite article.

Adjective Use Summary Attributive - must agree with the noun in: gender number definiteness (same article) usually placed after the noun Predicate - "is" - could be past, present, or future: gender number not the same article before or after the noun Substantive - used as a noun e.g. - bO=ah - the good one, man, or thing. VOCABULARY
