On the heels of their debut EP, Driving Out The Silence, this powerhouse trio from Winston-Salem, NC is taking to the road with their distinctive sound described by drummer Brett Ryan as light hearted but aggressive. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, however, one only needs listen to the optimism present in the bands biting rock anthems to realize its accuracy. Formed in 2007, GOryanGO has forged their way as a straight-ahead rock band that relies on catchy hooks, relatable lyrics and high-energy performances to connect their audiences and build a loyal following. From their onset their mission was simple: to bring back something they felt was lacking in the music scene; songs written from an honest, if at times sarcastic point-of-view that are as fun to listen to as they are to perform so that audiences can be as much of their performance as they are. We wanted to make a record that sounds like the three of us doing what we love, says front man Matt Weiser of the bands initial studio effort. Capturing the spirit of a live performance, from the very first rumbles of the drums to last weeping guitar and everything in between, the bands energy is always evident and courses through the veins of this release. The driving force of the record lies in the fact that, We've taken our time to make sure we are putting out a strong album and not just the first songs we have liked, explains bassist Christian Ryan. This album, Brett adds, is just the beginning of a sound that will continue to grow. All told, in a vast sea of acts that make an audience chose between style or substance, GOryanGO offers their audiences the resolution of offering both.
