Alcoholism is over consumption of alcoholic drinks to

the point that this addiction interfere with family, personal, social or professional life of a person. Alcoholism can cause psychological and even physical illness.

Causes of Alcoholism
Usually people start drinking alcohol due to social problems such as: To get drunk To fit in with the crowd To relieve stress, anxiety and forget problems They like the taste To make them feel at ease

Effects of Alcohol
Drinking alcohol has very harmful effects such as: heart damage high blood pressure and stroke cancers sexual impotence and reduced fertility sleeping difficulties brain damage concentration and memory problems heart damage

Each year 3000 people die as result of excessive alcohol

Prevention
The World Health Organization have formed alcohol policies to reduce the harm of alcoholism such as: Increasing the age at which licit drugs of abuse such as alcohol can be purchased Banning or restricting advertising of alcohol
