Green Way
This bike way, built in the old railway of Rota is a beautiful patch for enjoying a long trip in your bike.

The patch starts in Rota, near McDonald's just in front of the town's entry roundabout.

Its first steps go through family orchards and farms, including cotton fields. We can find brooms, false acacia, fennel and some groves of eucalyptus too.

About the animals, it's common to see sparrows, bunnies, horses, and some gulls due to the sea proximity.

Before climbing the first bridge we can choose if continue in the natural way or change to another bike way which go along the side of the highway to a direct entrance to Costa ballena. But choosing the natural patch is more interesting...

 Along the way, we will pass over three big metal bridges, which save the way over two highways and a river.

Reaching the final of the patch, there is a huge abandoned silo

Passing over the 2 bridge located next to the silo we can view the entrance to Costa Ballena, another part of Rota minded for foreign people and visitors.

It's a place full of hotels, apartments, golf resorts and long beaches. It's expected that the way will someday end in Chipiona but that's a bit difficult. Instead we can left the way to costa ballena and take another bike way which drive us to Chipiona.
