In his work Poetics Aristotle identifies the six parts that build the tragedy: the plot, the

characters, the thought, the diction, the song and the spectacle. The six parts can however be extended to comedy and any genre of drama in general. Further on, let us discuss the spectacle which is the purpose and outcome of any dramatic text. Aristotle considers the spectacle the least important element of the tragedy, the least artistic and dependent mostly on the stage machinist rather than the author (p.14, Poetics/ Translated by S.H. Butcher).
