ZERO CONDITIONAL

The zero conditional is used to express facts or situations that are always fulfilled, to express universal truths.

If it rains the road gets wet.

Si llueve la carretera se moja.

We use the conditional to indicate a condition and a result and therefore consists of two phrases, the main and indicating the condition.

Such phrases are used to talk about situations that always take place.

Positive:
The zero conditional is formed with the Simple Present. [IF ... PRESENT SIMPLE +] + [PRESENT SIMPLE]

If it rains the road is wet. If it rains, the road gets wet.


* In this case indicate something that always happens, that is, a universal truth.

Can also be used with an imperative.

If rains do not pick up the car. If it rains, do not use the car.

NEGATIVE: To make a conditional negative we can use this structure. would be to deny the verbs normally.

If it rains the road is not wet. If It Does not rain, the road does not get wet.

Remember that these two phrases are interchangeable order,


If it rains, the road gets wet. The road gets wet if it rains.
