Haley Ervin April 10, 2013 Poem I asked I asked the ocean why it was blue And it laughed

and waved with sprinkles of mist I asked the seaweed why it was green And it swayed back and forth in a peaceful dance I asked the seashell why it was broken And it cried and the ocean dragged it away I asked the dolphins to jump And they soared into the afternoon air I asked the sand castle to fall And it did and the sand sang as it sprinkled onto our feet I asked the ships why they sailed so quickly And they bobbed up and down in the water as their sails apped in the wind I asked myself what happened And the moon brightened The wind whipped The waves crashed And I kept quiet And everything was perfect
