Please note that the reporting guidelines for Aluminium Inventory were changed in 1999. The data you selected spans the changesplit into two halves. The first contains data according to the old reporting guidelines, the second is data collected using the new guidelines. All

Notes:
1. Definition
Unwrought aluminium is aluminium in its basic cast form made from primary metal or from scrap and which is unworked in the metallu
aluminium is unwrought aluminium plus unprocessed scrap, metal in process and finished semi-fabricated (mill) products. Unwrought
inventories are all relevant inventories over which primary aluminium producers have some degree of control, with the exception of metal incl
reports.

2. Source of Data
The data included in this IAI Statistical Report have been derived exclusively from voluntary reports of IAI Member and non-Member
outside the industry nor estimates are used.
3. Data Aggregation
The IAI Statistical System is designed to meet the requirement that, in general, individual company data be included only within
by declared geographical areas and not be reported separately. The declared geographical areas and the primary aluminium producing countries
areas are as follows:

4. Data Integrity
The IAI considers the figures shown to be reliable, but they may be subject to revision. Particular note should be taken of the fact that
the reporting, primary aluminium producing companies (producers) are not homogeneous and also that inventory practice varies. If a producer i
to report inventories strictly according to IAI definitions and rules, the producer is expected to report as closely to those definitions and rules
any event consistently from month to month.
