Step 1
Check the length of the paper for correct size
by flipping the finished card twice over the
cardstock. Leave about 2" extra. No need to
be exact. Trim excess if necessary.

Step 2
Rotate the cardstock leaving the card in place.
Lay the card approximately 1" from the side.
Step 3
Trim the opposite side so that there is 1" of
cardstock on either side of the card.

Step 4
Lay the paper with the card on scoring board
so that the card is centered at the top of the
board. Score1/8" away from both edges of the
card.
Note:
Black lines show score lines used here.
Step 5
Rotate the cardstock with the card in place on
the scoring board to score the flaps. Slide the
card up to the top of the scoring board. Score
one notch 1/8" away from both edges of the
card.

Step 6
The cardstock should now have four score
lines.
Step 7
Cut out the four corners as shown.
Step 8
Round 4 corners of the cardstock.

Fold the flaps down and round the 4 remaining
corners.
Step 9
Apply adhesive to the lower flap.
Step 10
Finished! Embellish your envelope if desired.
Hint:
This works with any size card. However if the
card is 5x5 or greater, a larger paper must be
used- even a grocery bag, heavy weight gift
wrap or legal paper.

For the math wiz:
- To figure out the length of paper needed the
short side of card multiply it by 2 and add 2".
(short card size x 2 + 2" = paper length).
- Measure the long side of the card and add 2".
( long side + 2" = paper width).
- Score at 7/8" on each side of the paper
width.
- To figure out where to score on the long side
of the paper, subtract the short side of card
from the paper length, divide by 2 and subract
1/8". ((paper length - short side of card) / 2) -
1/8" = where to score each side of the long
side of paper.
