9-4 Tesselations

• Tesselation is a pattern of polygons that


cover a plane.

• regular tesselation: uses one type of
regular polygon.

• A regular polygon will tesselate ONLY IF


the measure of one of the interior angles
is a factor of 360°
• A tesselation is “uniform” if every single
vertex includes the same shapes meeting
together.
