May 11, 2013 Meeting MINUTES

President Sherry Walter opened the meeting, which was held at Onderdonk Hall, at 9:10 a.m. The April Minutes were emailed/mailed to members so no copies were available. Kathy Brus made a motion that the minutes be accepted and there were several who seconded the motion. Motion passed and the minutes are accepted as presented. Gladys Kamberger presented the Treasurers Report. Darlene Larson and Bonnie Roth made motions and Mary Leitchman seconded that the treasurers report be accepted. Motion passed and the report is accepted as presented. Sunshine/Shadows Donna Mortensons mother is ill and in the hospital. Mary Leitchman and Sandy Kilheffer are back from southern regions. Vikki Chenette is retiring from teaching. Cathy Staffords daughter is graduating from high school. June Meeting Sherry Walter noted that the June meeting will feature a sewing machine maintenance lesson from Bonnie Roth. Anna Hutchins will teach a class on the double diamond. This method can be used to make book marks, or add accents to table runners or place mats. Seena Spencer will teach precision piecing at the July meeting in Story. She reminded members that everyone will bring a snack to the Story meeting. Birthdays Kathleen Bishop, Peggy Stroble, Seena Spencer and Mary Leitchman were all present to get their birthday fat quarters. Secret Sisters mom Donna Mortenson passed out the Secret Sisters gifts for birthdays. Juli Jarvis won the door prize. Show and Tell Several members had quilts to show including some UFOs. There being no further business, Sherry adjourned the meeting and members enjoyed delicious snacks. Some members worked on the service project quilt. Seena Spencer, Secretary
