MINUTES OF POGLEADERSHIPTEAM 5 June, 2013

Leaders present: Bill and Shelley Franz, Pastor Eileen Hanson, Christine Nadeau, Colleen Nollette, Margie and Rolf Olsoy, Janet Sheldrick, Joan and Chuck Smith, Jim and Sheila Wright. Meeting commenced at 7 p.m.

Pastor Eileen thanked the leaders for the blogging that they were faithfully recording on the pog website.

Handout sheets were passed out to the leaders:

1. WHERE IS THE HOLY SPIRIT CALLING US? The sub titles were: WHO WE ARE: Love, Accept, Worship. WHAT WE DO: Our discussion was based on the POG congregation's thoughts, which were submitted during Sunday worship, and can be viewed on our website http://www.pogleadershipteam.weebly.com/ Sheila Wright volunteered to work on the what we do questions and put them into categories eg. Missions, Service, Programs, Community.

2. JOB DESCRIPTION Leaders discussed in length the job description that would best meet pog needs. We prayerfully decided that the requirements for the job, some of which are listed below, needed to be made into a coherent list that the leaders could ponder and work on at the next meeting. Bill Franz volunteered to make this list. Some Suggested topics for the list: Theological background, Youth and family exp. High relationship skills, bridging, linking with community, Sunday School, warm and outgoing, communicate well, interpersonal with high energy, work inside and outside of pog, presence at sunday worship.

3. MEDITATION AND THOUGHT A handout was given to the leaders called 11 TRAITS OF CHURCHES THAT WILL IMPACT THE FUTURE.

The next meeting will be 19 June, 2013 at Rolf and Margie Olsoy's house.
