    AAI to develop new airport project in Guntur Mumbai: The Airport Authority of India plans to develop a Greenfield airport

    at Guntur. A three member team appointed by the Airport Authority of India has inspected the outlined land at the Prattipadu village, about 20 km from the Guntur city where the airport is proposed to be developed. The team will be soon submitting its report before the government. The proposed airport project will be serving Guntur and also the adjacent districts of Prakasam and Nalgonda. Presently, the Guntur residents utilize Gannavaram (Vijayawada) airport which is 50 km away from the outlined region.
