HOW CHOLAMANDALAM RECOMMENDS PRODUCTS T O ITS CLIENTS To analyze the risk appetite and return expectation and goals

of theinvestor, RAPP FORM (RISK ANALYSIS AND PORTFOLIO PLANNER)is get filled by the clients. Then RAPP Form is send to Chennai Head Office where researchteam is based to judge the clients risk appetite. Research team hasdivided the client into 3 categorys :-

Tortoise ( Conservative Client )

Elephant ( Moderately Aggressive )

Cheetah (Highly Aggressive )After 3-4 days they send their feedback to Delhi office.If the client comes under Tortoise Category they are suggested DebtFunds, Capital Protection funds, FDs (Fixed Deposit) and if client isabove 60 yrs (retired) they are suggested MIPs (Monthly IncomePlans).If the client comes under Elephant Category they are suggestedBalanced Funds, Large Cap Equity Funds and stocks of Blue ChipCompanies and SIP(Systematic Investment Plan )and Gold too.
If the client comes under Cheetah Category they are suggested Smalland Midcap funds , Real estate funds, Stocks of Small and MidcapCompanies. The information regarding in which sector/funds/stocks to investare based on the research which is carried out by the research team.I also did some of the research work that gave an idea about the rolling returns of different indices , analysis of various mutual funds. This research work is useful to the Relationship Manager whilepitching a product to the client.
