KARL MARX: CONCEPT OF ALIENATION

Alienation Meaning A state of estrangement Relationship of labour with production Product of labour alienated from production Worker is exploited The more wealth he produces, the poorer he becomes Worker alienated from his product

Alienation manifests itself in four ways:


1. The worker alienated from the product, the worker has no control over it. 2. Worker alienated from production, he has no say in their regard. 3. Man has creative ability, he loses this quality. 4. The worker is socially alienated. Man is judged by his position.

The concept of social change


According to Marx, society classified into 13 are structure, super structure Base structure economic system Super structure social, political, cultural and religious systems Change in mode of production leads to social change Change in mode of production initiates change in production technology Thereby change social relations of people to productive system Finally it produces social change in society.
