CSWIP 3.1 Examination


Before attempting the examination, you must provide the following: Two passport size photographs, with your name and signature on reverse side. Eye test certificate, the certificate must show near vision and colour tests. Completed examination form, you can print from the website www.twi.co.uk Your current CV / Resume, your CV must be emailed or faxed to the following for evaluation by the examination manager.

CSWIP 3.1 Examination


Theory part A2: Specific welding technology. 4 questions from 6. Question 1 compulsory. Time allowed: 1 Hour 15 minutes

Theory part B2: General welding technology. 30 multi-choice questions. Time allowed: 30 minutes
Practical part A2: Inspection of a plate butt weld code provided. Time allowed: 1 Hour 15 minutes Practical part B2: Inspection of a pipe butt weld your chosen code e.g API 1104 , BS 4515. Time allowed: 1 Hour 45minutes Practical part C2: Inspection 2 macro samples code ISO 5817. Time allowed: 45minutes Oral: Discussion of general welding theory. Time allowed: Not restricted

Any standard/code required for the examinations will be provided on the examination day You are entitled to supply your own choice of standard/code for the Pipe weld sample examination.
