Hurray !!!!!

This month is my turn to be the queen bee. So I wont be doing any block this month. But will be giving instructions to all my sunny bee members. First of all I thank Nikhat who introduced me to Desi quilters. Its really a lively active group. I really enjoy being part of this group. All the activities of this group remind me about my college days, where we friends use to chat do some studies, sharing our thoughts, off course some useless time pass, without little time pass there is no joy in any work . In my view, when you say sunny its ice cream, beach and blooming of flowers etc Currently I am residing in Bangalore, where we see bright sun only in summer, in the beginning of summer all trees blooms and its very soothing to eyes. Thats the reason I am choosing flower basket as my sunny block, hope it wont be difficult to make, just follow some simple instruction. This is not my original idea, this instruction I got it from internet. Please use cotton fabric and test for color bleeding before using.

Completed Basket Block will measure 20 inch `` X 20 inch ``

Here in above diagram I gave numbering for each piece, For no. 1 please refer Print 1 instructions For no. 2 please refer Print 2 instructions For no. 3 please refer Print 3 instructions For no. 4 please refer Print 4instructions For (B G) please refer Back Ground instructions

Once youre done with cutting fabric into square and bar, cut square fabric into triangle and lie according to the above diagram and stitch it together, you can follow this sequence to stitch it together

Make Half-Square Triangle Units for the Basket Quilt Blocks After stitching 2 triangles together each should measure 4-1/2" square Side bar Units Referring to the illustration, sew a triangle cut from smaller brown squares to the end of each long background bar. Notice that units are mirror images of each other. Assemble the Basket Quilt Block 1. Refer to the illustration. Assemble the block by sewing units together as shown, moving from left to right in the top row, and then from left to right again in the bottom row. 2. When possible, press seam allowances in adjacent rows in opposite directions. 3. Fold the final background triangle in half to find its midpoint before matching and sewing it to the lower right corner of the basket block.
Completed block will look like this.
