The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
(GATE) is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. GATE exam score plays a major role in testing the skills of students in engineering and technology, which will lead them to take their higher education in top institution/university with scholarship.

Eligibility
Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/
Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10 or +2)/post Bsc/post diploma Master of Computer application and those who are in the final year of such programmes. Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year . Note : pre-final year students are not eligible

GATE Score
The GATE Score of a candidate is computed from
where, S = GATE Score (normalised) of a candidate, M = Marks obtained by a candidate in a paper, Mq = Qualifying marks for general category candidates in the paper, Mt = Average Marks of top 0.1% or 10 (which ever is higher) of candidates in the paper, St = GATE Score assigned to Mt (around 900), and Sq = GATE Score assigned to Mq (around 300).
