Not all form go along with the same functions There are exceptional rules use for certain forms. This is what we called exceptional in grammar rules.

CASE STUDY
Usually, the common mistake that students make in past tense a word ( verb ) must added with - ed to the base form Eg : work + ed = worked So, when it come to certain word, they will make mistakes. Eg : I goed to the cinema yesterday.

SINGULAR / PLURAL
Plural nouns are not always formed by adding -s or -es to the singular form. Eg : pencil + s = pencils box + es = boxes So, when it come to certain word, they will make mistakes. Eg : The childs are playing at the playground.
