HELEN KELLER INTRODUCTION

Helen Keller was deaf and blind, but that did not stop her from learning with Annie Sullivan. The rest of these slides will show how Helen was happy and survived in her dark, silent world.

HELEN KELLER AS A BABY

Helen Keller was originally a regular child. When she was almost 2, she had a very bad fever. Some professional doctors thought she might die. One fortunate, but still unfortunate day, Helens fever broke. Their little angel as they called her, was now well, as they thought. It was wonderful to all to Helen Kellers family. When her mother was washing her, Helen was staring straight ahead. Mrs. Keller saw that Helen was blind. Poor Helen! At a loud noise, Helen did not move from her playing. Mrs. Keller again trembled. Helen was deaf, too.
