7.1

A continuous gas pilot provides a safe source of ignition and re-ignition for the main burner flame. In addition, the pilot also maintains the firebox in a safe condition following a furnace trip. Individual main flame detection devices, which shut off the flow of fuel to the burner, may be provided in lieu of pilots if requested by the Owner. Pilot flame sensing devices provide remote verification that the continuous gas pilots are operating properly and reliably. Guaranteed burner emissions are required to ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations
