    Council Member Davis is hosting a cleanup on Parker Road in the Northeast portion of District B on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 from 8 AM – 11 AM. We will meet at 9929 Homestead Rd. (the old K-Mart). We will de-litter, cleanup sidewalks, and cut the grass along Parker Rd. between Homestead Rd. and Hirsch Rd. If you would like to participate, please call our Director of Community Affairs, Bryan Smart, at (832) 393-3009.

    District B Updates

    Council Member Jerry Davis has voted to approve the over-65 homestead exemption for senior citizens allowing more seniors an opportunity to be exempt from property taxes to the City of Houston. Council Member Jerry Davis and City Council have allocated $1.5 million for youth summer jobs in 2014. Council Member Jerry Davis budget amendment to purchase 25 new surveillance cameras successfully passed council. These cameras will be used to aid in combatting illegal dumping. 111 Dangerous buildings were demolished in 2012 in District B. 9929 Homestead aka the Old K-Mart will finally be repaired or demolished within 60 days of July 12, 2013. E Little York Asphalt Overlay from Hirsch Rd. to Homestead Rd. Homestead Grade Separation a bridge will be constructed to allow passage over the rail road tracks on Homestead Rd.
