MakeGhusl(fullbodywash) Trimyournails,andremoveyourpubichair. WhateverSalahisdueatthetimeoftravel,ensureithasbeenprayedinfullbeforesettingoff Read2rakaatsofTravellingSalahbeforesettingoff Whengoingoutofyourhouse/hotel,say:

Bismillahi,Tawakkaltu,'alallahi,walaahawlawalaaquwattaillahbillah (InthenameofAllaah,IplacemytrustinAllaah,andthereisnomightnorpowerexceptwithAllaah) ReadDu'aaofTravelling,beforesettingoffincar

AllahuAkbar,AllahuAkbar,AllahuAkbar.Subhaanalathee,Sakharalanaahathaawamaakunaa,lahumuqrineenawa innaailaarabbinaalamunqaleboon (Allaahisthegreatestx3,HowperfectHeis,TheOneWhohasplacethis(transport)atourservice,andweourselveswould nothavebeencapableofthat,andtoourLordifourfinaldestiny.) Atajourneybreak,youmaysay:

A'uthoobikalimaatillaahhitammaatiminsharrimaakhalaq (ItakerefugeinAllaah'sperfectwordsfromtheevilthatHehascreated.) NB.During your journey keep yourself in the remembrance of Allah (make dhikr,make dua, read quran, read Islamic Book etc). Remember this is the start of your journey to the House of Allah, and you have been given an invitation from Mlik AlMulk (OwnerandKingofallKingdoms),soPraiseandGlorifyHim. Onceyouareatraveller(havingleftyourareasofresidence),andthenextSalahisdue,youcancombineandshortenthemas thisisaconcessionfromAllah. o Dhur(2Rakaats)&Asr(2Rakaats)together o Maghrib(3Rakaats)&Ishaa(2Rakaats)together o Readasmanysunnah/nawafilasyoulike,thereisnorestriction.

If one fears that they are likely to be subjected to illness or anything else that might obstruct their Umrah, one may add the following, by doing so if one can not complete the Umrah for whatever reason; then they simply cut their hair and do not havetopaytheransom.

3.EnteringMasjidAlHaram(inMakkah,SaudiaArabia)
Enterwithyourrightfoot MakeduaaoftheMasjid

Bismillahi,Allallhummasalli'alaamuhammadinwasallimallaahummaaftahleeabwaabarahmatika (In the name of Allaah! O Allaah! Exalt the mention of your Messenger. O Allaah! Forgive my sins, and open the gates of Yourmercyforme).

4.Tawaf(7roundsaroundtheKa'bah)YoumustbeinWudu(ablution)

Men to leave their right shoulder bare ONLY during the entire Tawaf, this is called Idtiba'a, after the tawaf men need to coverbothshoulders. StartattheBlackStone,either o Kissitifyoucan,ifnot o Touchitwithyourrighthand,ifnot o FacetheBlackStoneandpointatitwithyourrighthand SayBismillah,AllahuAkbar(justbeforekissingit/orjustbeforeorwhilsttouching/pointing) Formen,toRaml(hasten/brisklywalk)duringthefirst3roundsofTawafandwalknormallyduringtheother4rounds. OnceyoureachtheYamanicorner,either o Touchitwithyourrighthand(donotkissit),andsayBimsillahAllahuAkbar o orifunable,thencontinuewithoutgesturingorsayinganything FromtheYamanicornertotheBlackStonerecite

NB.Thereisnospecificduaa'sthatmustbereadduringtheTawaf.Makeasmanysupplicationsfromyourheart,forthatwhich willbenefityou.Recitewhateveryouwish,supplicatetoAllaahbyaskingforgood,recitetheQuran,anythingyouwish.

Rabbanaaaatinaafiddunyaahasanatanwafeelaakhiratihasanatanwaqinaa'adhaabannaar (OurLord,grantusgoodinthislifeandgoodinthehereafterandsaveusfromthepunishmentoftheHellfire. [Quran;2:201]) OnceyoureturnbacktotheBlackStone,youhavecompleted1round,andyouneedtorepeattheabovesteps6moretimes.

5.AfterCompletingTawaf,proceedtoMaqaameIbraaheem(ProphetIbraaheem'sstation)
Recitethisverse(whichmeans):

Wattakhidhoominmaqaamiibraaheemamusalla (Andtakeyou(people)theMaqaam(place)ofIbraheemasaplaceofPrayer.[Quran;2:125]) Pray two short Rak'ahs, as close as conveniently possible behind Maqaame Ibraheem. If it is not possible then you can pray themanywhereinthesacredmosque. o ItispreferredtoreciteduringthefirstRak'ah(afterSurahAlFatiha),SurahAlKafiroonand o duringthesecondRak'ah(afterSurahAlFatiha)SurahAllkhlaas

6.GotoZamZamWells
Makeduaabeforedrinking DrinkZamZamwater Pourwateroveryourhead ReturntotheBlackStonetouchitwithyourrighthand(asbefore),ifitisnotconvenientdonothing,andproceedtodoSai.

7.Sai(7circuits)havingwuduishighlyrecommended,butnotcompulsory
AsyouleavetheboundaryoftheMasjid,youcansay(asprescribedforallMasaajid):

Bismillahiwassalaatuwassalaamu'alaarasoolillahi, Allahummaineea'alukaminfadhlika,Allahummaa'simneeminashshaitaanierajeem (InthenameofAllah,andprayersandpeacebeupontheMessengerofAllaah. OAllaah,IaskYoufromYourfavour.OAllaah,guardfromtheaccurseddevil.) UponapproachingMountSafaa,thefollowingayaat(verse)isrecited

Innassafaa wal marwata min sha'aa'irillaahi faman hajjal baita 'awi'tamara falaa janaaha 'alaihi an yattawwafa bihimaa wamantatawwa'akhiranfa'innallaahashaakirun'aleemun (Verily, AsSafaa and AlMarwah are from the symbols of Allaah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or 'Umrah of thehouse(ka'bah)toperformthegoing(tawaaf)betweenthem.Andwhoeverdoesgoodvoluntarily,thenverily,Allaahis theAllRecognizer,AllKnower.[Quran;2:158]) Abda'ubimaabada'Allahubihi (IbeginwithwhatAllaahbeganwith.) ThenascenduponMountSafaa,facetheQiblah,raiseyourhandsandrecite3times: Allaahuakbarallaahuakbarallaahuakbar. (AllaahistheGreatest,AllaahistheGreatest,AllaahistheGreatest.)

Enjoytheprocess.You'vecomeallthisway,openyourheartinglorificationandDuatoAllah! NB.There are noparticularsupplications to be recitedbetween Safaaand Marwah. It isup to theworshipperto praise Allah or supplicateHiminhisownwords,orhemayreciteportionsoftheOur'an.

Laa ilaaha illa Allah, Wahdahu laa Sharika lah, Lah ulMulk, Wa lah ulHamd, Wa huwa 'ala Kulli shay'in Qadeer, Laa ilaaha illaAllah,Anjazawa'dah,WaNasara'abdah,WahazamalAhzabawahdah (There is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, Alone. He has no partner, To Him belongs the kingdom, & all praise belongstoHim,&Hehaspoweraboveallthings,ThereisnothingworthyofworshipexceptAllah,HefulfilledHispromise, GrantedvictorytoHisservant,AndaloneHedefeatedthealliedarmy.) Then you Praise Allah, Send Salaam upon Muhammad (sa) and then make as much personal Du'as as you like. Pray for anythingfromthegoodnessofthislifeandthenext,prayforbothyourselfandothers. ThendescendfromMountSafaaandgowalkingtowardsMountMarwah Whenyoureachthegreensign,menaretohastentheirwalkforawhile,butdonotrun.Thenreturntoyournormalphase ofwalkatthenextgreensign. Upon reaching Mount Marwah repeat the same procedure as when ascending Mount Safaa (face the Qibla, raise your hands andrepeatwhatwassaidonMountSafaa.)Thiscompletesonecircuit. Continueandcompleteintotal7circuits,endingthelastoneonMountMarwah.

8.AfterCompletingSai,Trim/Cutthehair

Itisrecommendedformenaretoshavealltheirhair,buttheycantrimitallthewayround Womenaretoshortentheirhairbyafingertip. NowallIhraamrulesarelifted,andyourUmrahiscompleted.MayAllahacceptyourUmrah,Ameen!!
