Aim: : Use Normally open and normally closed switches ,to show the working of two relays (Z and

X).The green indicator will show the relay z working and and the red indicator will show the relay X working. The X and Z relays are interlocked with each other Procedure: 24 volt supply is connected to the normally open switch which is in parallel connection with the normally open contact of the relay Z and the normally closed contact of the relay X , the normally open contact of the relay Z is in series with the normally closed contact of the relay X .The normally open switch is in series with the normally closed switch which is connected with the coil of relay Z and this is connected to the 0 volt supply. The 24 volt supply is also connected to another normally open switch which is in parallel connection with the normally open contact of the relay X and the normally closed contact of the relay Z , the normally open contact of the relay X is in series with the normally closed contact of the relay Z .The normally open switch is in series with the normally closed switch which is connected with the coil of relay X and this is connected to the 0 volt supply. Now the power supply L1 is connected the normally open contact of relay Z and then to the Green indicator which is connected to the neutral. The power supply L2 is connected with the normally open contact of the relay X and then to the red indicator which is further connected to the neutral. Working: When we press the first normally open switch then the green indicator glows, and then when we press the second normally open switch then the red indicator will glow. And again if we want the green indicator to glow , the first normally open switch will have to be pressed to get the green indicator. We will get the red indicator without pressing the first normally closed switch as there is interlocking between the two coils Z and X. The interlocking is helpful as we can see the working of the two relays without pressing the normally closed switches.
